So I used to play Counter Strike Global Offensive on my Mac Pro 5,1 and never had any issues. Recently I switched to Intel NUC (NUC7i5BNH) because MacPro was taking a lot of space on my desk and the gaming experience was more or less the same. I am just a noob when it comes to gaming. Mac Pro with Quad-Core Xeon and ATI Radeon RX580 was giving about 150fps but my screen was a 60hz display so none of that mattered. My NUC (with dual core i5 and Intel Iris Plus 640) is giving me a solid 75-85FPS which is fine.
So when i switched to this setup i noticed that maps were not clear as they were before, so i reinstalled video drivers, changed my display’s colors / brigthness etc. Nothing helped. so i tried changing some in-game video settings. But in vain.

So i came across this in the Steam Community forum
There seems to be an issue with the Intel HD Graphics 530, 630, 640 and others.
THE WORKAROUND
Find the "video.txt"
program files (x86) > steam > userdata > your number > 730 > local > cfg
Add the following to the bottom of the file "setting.mat_tonemapping_occlusion_use_stencil" "1"
}
Set the file to READ ONLY, so that Steam doesn’t overwrite it
